Example Site Wednesday: Texas Tiny Pigs

Here at Webs, we’re pretty much suckers for anything on four legs. That is why this week, we are showcasing a site that shows off some of the cutest animals we’ve seen on Webs! Texas Tiny Pigs is a small business site that is used to promote teacup piglets for sale. We love Tiny Pig’s simple and clean design. Take a look for yourself:

We knew you couldn’t resist taking a look at some of these piglets either! Take a look at some of the Webs features that they use:

  • Blog to share interesting and relevant information with their visitors.
  • Contact page to provide a simple way for their site visitors send-in inquiries and collect sales leads. This is a must have for any website!
  • Testimonials to build trust and credibility for their business by providing what others think about their services.

What drew us to Texas Tiny Pigs is their ever changing homepage. They redesign their pages on regular basis with new pictures and it is a great treat! Sure it is a simple act, but it is, nonetheless, an effective way to keep visitors coming back to your site to discover what’s new.

Take a hint from Texas Tiny Pigs and tag any photos that you yourself have taken with your site name. That way, if and when people share your picture with their friends, they will know where it originally came from, and maybe even take a look at your site. Not sure how to watermark your images? Learn how here.

If you liked this week’s example site, or you want to be considered for a future Example Site Wednesday post, leave a comment below.

Until next time, happy site building!

I strongly believe that webs.com should publish my site over here for a change because mine is a cricket website which is the second most popular sport in the world after fifa. Cricket is very popular in india & webs.com also has lots of users in india. So for this reason webs.com should publish my site.We use video, photo, contact us,wiki page, guestbook ,blog , testimonial , members ,forums, sidebars, arcade apps, etc. We also have made slight changes to the template which makes our site look good. We have more than 700 photos,98 videos, lots of blog articles, cricket fixtures, rankings, statistics, and lots more with 6600 followers on twitter & a beautiful facebook page.Last but not least we are also listed in DMOZ directory along with LEADING cricket sites in the world.

I really like this site because there are a lot of pictures and the pictures really engage me with the website and make me want to see and read more; even though I’m not interested in pigs.
I love that the pictures are high quality also and have the watermark on them.
    A+ for presentation!

Every time I look at the featured sites on webs I find something new. Some things I find interesting and useful and try to intergrate them into http://www.southernupland.com web but you have to remember that I am not running a business nor a charity I operate the website as part of our archerys status as a private shoot to give fun an informative information to the world in general and archers in particular.
Texas Tiny Pigs is a clean and well set out businesss web and cannot fault it on those lines.
I can comment that I prefer my piggies to be a lot bigger because I like sausages, bacon, ham & hock!
Did you know that the only part of a piggy that cannot be used is the squeal !!
I wish Texas Tiny Pigs all success.
Yours in archery from an ever learning Webbie !

These r my suggestions to webs.com team
Idea no 1 – Is there any way where we can update the news on our site using a feed from an external. It would be great if webs creates a news app for this purpose.

Idea no 2 – Is there any way where members can create groups like facebook & other social networking sites.

Idea no 3 – Can members app be more social just like facebook

Idea no 4 – Please provide a solution wherein we can rearrange videos & photo albums.
