Example Site Wednesday: Purely Ryan

Welcome to the first Example Site Wednesday of 2011. We hope everybody’s New Year has started off well! This week, we have an awesome website to showcase, and we think you will all agree. Purely Ryan is a technology blog that features down to earth reviews about gadgets and apps that anybody can understand. Check it out for yourself:

The first thing that you notice when you visit Purely Ryan is how clean the site is. Straightforward design and great organization gets the task of moving people from their home page to the blog or one of their social media outlets done quickly and smoothly. Check out some great Webs features they utilize as well:

  • Members App is a great way to generate loyalty to your blog, especially if you offer benefits for becoming members. Purely Ryan offers extra blog posts that only members can see.
  • Facebook Connect is a perfect solution to integrate your site with Facebook and let visitors sign up with a click of a button.
  • Feedback through the Contact Form is important to any blogger because it lets them know what their audience wants to keep providing vital information.

As with any site, it’s tough getting your name out there, but there are a few advantages that blogs have over other types of websites. For one, blog’s are continually updating with new content. This gives people more of a reason to come back to a website, as well as point someone there to see an interesting article.

Having fresh content also makes it a bit easier to publicize through social media. Updates are a great reason to connect to followers and let them know what you are up to. Purely Ryan hits the trifecta of social media with their use of Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube.

Although it’s tough to come up with new content, blogs are a great way to get users to visit on regular basis.

QUICK TIP: A blog is a great way to spice up your website and generate new following & interest.

We want to congratulate Purely Ryan again on their awesome website. To everybody else, keep site building and remember, if you want to be featured in our Example Site Wednesday blog post, leave a comment!

I know that in the past my pleading has probaly drove you up the wall. But with a new year comes a clean slate. Putting all that behind us please could you feature http://www.ducksonskates.webs.com It would be much appreciated if this devoted to ducks site could be seen by more than 5 people everday. It’s hard times and our average veiwings per day is about 2. (Me normaly being 1 of them) I know almost all the members personally so it would be really great if someone i didn’t know could become a member and experience just how much people take ducks for granted
P.S Thank you Aimal Girl and taylor for signing up- you are a great friend to ducks everywhere.

Please consider my site. I have been part of webs for quite some time and have been working this comic well too. I have created a successful and ongoing comic complete with ads, a very active forum, archives, guestbook, information sections, and a soon to be active shop for my work and specialty items. My comic is EVEN being featured with a booth at Further Confusion this year (a furry convention) And it’s all hosted on webs.
It’s a simple layout, but it’s effective. I even get some donations 🙂

    Please view it here:

Thank you for your consideration. It’s not like all the other sites here, but I love it. It’s my baby.

This website is simple and easy to use.

Will you consider my website? It is a genealogy website for a local area in central Pennsylvania. My website is very clean and simple and easy to use too. I chose the layout because I have a lot of older members who are not so computer oriented, and they get lost and confused if there is too much clutter. I have included a blog, forums, links, photos, vital records, calendar, etc. I’m not selling anything, and it is not a gaming site, but I think it would be wonderful to highlight other ideas for using webs.com.
