Small Business Saturday 2015 is Saturday, November 28th! If you are unfamiliar with the event, think of it as the Black Friday for your small business. In other words, it is a day for communities all around the nation to show their love for small businesses, just like yours!

In 2014, 88 million people shopped small on Small Business Saturday. To prepare for a monumental day of traffic and sales for your small business, there are three ways you can participate and make the most out of the occasion:

The fifth annual Small Business Saturday may be just a few weeks away (November 29th, people!), but there are still lots of opportunities to get involved and take advantage of everything this event means for small businesses.

First introduced in 2010 by American Express, the goal of Small Business Saturday is simply to help the country’s smaller businesses get more customers in their doors and on their websites. This is ideal because the biggest challenge for most small businesses is simply a lack of exposure to new audiences. Good news! You still have 3 days to get your Facebook page ready for Small Business Saturday. Sure, some of you might be in a turkey dinner coma for one of those days, but that still leaves us 2 days to work with.

Our friends at Pagemodo created a list to make it even easier. The Small Business Saturday resources page listed Pagemodo as a tool small business owners should use to promote their participation in Saturday’s event, so below you’ll find 5 ways you can use Pagemodo to do just that:

Small Business Saturday will take place on November 30th, 2013. This annual event focused on the promotion of small businesses in local communities is in its 4th year now, and has grown by leaps and bounds since it was first launched in 2010 by American Express.

For the uninitiated, Small Business Saturday is “a day dedicated to small businesses across the country” by encouraging members of local communities to get out and “Shop Small” the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. Falling directly between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this day gives small businesses a chance to compete on their own terms.
