Next week (November 17-23) is Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), and we wanted to make sure you – our small business readers – have the scoop on this worldwide celebration of, well, you.

The official USA webpage describes the event this way:

“Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.”

GEW traces its roots back to 2008 when it first began, and has since expanded to 125 countries. In those countries, 24,008 partner organizations are planning 33,846 activities associated with the event. Why? In order to help entrepreneurs around the globe “explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.”
