When you build your own website with user-friendly tools (like Webs, of course) it’s easy create a good website. But what takes a website from good to great? A cohesive, thoughtful brand represented throughout the site experience. A great example of this comes from today’s Webs user example site, The Foresters.

The Foresters is a pop punk band made up of three teenage brothers from Bethany Connecticut. Evan, Hayden, and Liam Nork have just released their third album, Sun Songs, which we thoroughly enjoyed listening to on their website!

Lezzetli ice cream website

Given that we live and breathe small business marketing at Webs, it’s no surprise that seeing our users whip up a great website for an interesting business really makes our day around here. Today’s day-maker? Lezzetli Turkish-Style Ice Cream.

This mom-and-pop-style ice cream company is run by a couple who fell in love with traditional Turkish ice cream while traveling, and decided to bring the tradition back home to New York City.

One thing that shows Lezzetli is serious about their business is their consistent brand. From their web, to their social profiles, to their physical packaging, everything reinforces their energetic and natural style.

Today’s Webs user example site comes from a group of Tufts University undergraduates producing a “web-retelling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet”. Not only is the concept of JulesandMonty a lot of fun, the website they’re using to promote it is very nicely done!

One reason this site is so successful is the clean design. The layout is logical and well organized, and the colors are consistent and classy. This is so important for your website, because a cluttered look or overwhelming color scheme can cause people to abandon your website as quickly as they came to it. It’s so easy to hit that back button when your eye sees something that doesn’t agree with it.
