It’s Friday afternoon, which means it’s the perfect time for a colorful and informative infographic! This one comes from LinkedIn – specifically their Talent Solutions brand – and it sheds some light on their December 2013 survey of 18,000 employees in 26 countries. (Love LinkedIn? One of the most interesting findings displayed in this graphic is the fact that of the 72% who said they were either “very satisfied” or “satisfied” with their jobs, only 18% said that the would not consider changing jobs. While ambition is great, some employers might find it a little disturbing to know that even their very satisfied employees might walk out the door if the right opportunity presented itself.
Whether you’re a small business owner with some employees under your wing, or an employee looking to make a change, you’ll probably find the graphic below very interesting. If you do have employees that you’d prefer to hang onto, it might help to know the aspects that factor most into the decision to take a new job.

2. Good work/life balance
3. Opportunities for advancement
Interestingly, the #1 position varies by county. For example, here in the United States, the most important consideration was compensation. In the United Kingdom, however, the top spot goes to work/life balance.
