Example Site Wednesday: Journey's Coffee House

It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time to showcase another great site. This week we are spotlighting Journey’s Coffee House, which is designed not only as a place to get food, but also as a gathering place. The site transforms one of Webs’ simpler templates, into something as chic as the coffee house itself. Take a look for yourself:

In particular, the site effectively uses Webs features such as:

  • Locations App to display a map of their physical location and provide customers with an easy way to reach the location
  • Calendar App to display upcoming events in a concise and organized way
  • Photos App to share pictures with potential customers, showcasing what the coffee house is actually about

While there are a lot of things that can be learned from this website, the most important is that of simplicity. Journey’s Coffee House is the perfect example of a site where less is more. Often times, companies will try to enhance their site by cramming as much information onto each page as possible. But this site finds a good balance of information and simplicity. Each of the pages of the website contains useful and relevant information to visitors, but is written concisely so as not to overwhelm the site.

Another key tip to take away from this site is their customization. For example, they changed the header image to one that is not only applicable to their company, but is also of high quality and is visually appealing. The overall tone of the website mimics the warm and inviting nature of a coffee house, through the use of soft and neutral colors. Would you like to edit your website header/logo? Learn how.

Journey’s Coffee House did an amazing job with their website, which looks professional, and inviting at the same time. If you liked the site, or if you would like to be the next featured Example Site, just leave a comment below!

Until next time,

Happy Site Building!

I nominate … myself, for the next feature, my site, although it is not quite as flashi is much faster than many other sites on webs, we focused on efficiency and sales, We’re an anime site and are currently selling Halloween costumes on our A store. we’re affiliated with most anime providers and are the only site on webs that has legal anime. plus we have a Halloween version of our logo carved in a pumpkin what else do you need to know? the site makes 20+ bucs per day on advertisement alone and sales are blooming. feature Animekida.com for your next feature.

Webs is great for Business websites but I think it’s also great for personal sites. I recently re-vamped my website, hopefully it’ll make it for example site Wednesday. Since it is an example of what you could do with Webs.

Very nice website and the general color-scheme and use of professional images (like the header) make the website welcoming and the wooden-background also works well! :P

Here’s my website: http://thecybernettvsite.webs.com
This is a online-production website where i’ve developed a “VideoToggler” which uses YouTube’s playlist feature and organises it and suggests recommended videos :) Take a look if you want :)
