A new site called CatchFree is launching today, Tuesday May 24th, to help people find and share the best free web apps for their needs (and to help people avoid apps with “hidden catches”). Sounds like a helpful resource, right?
Not surprisingly, CatchFree is including Webs in their list of “top-loved free services on the web.”
But we don’t just want to be on their list. We want to be in the number one spot on their list.
Fortunately, CatchFree is a community-driven resource, which means that the most shared apps rise to the top. We appreciate this democratic approach, which is almost always a good thing (except on American Idol). Plus, it means that….
…YOU can help us reach the #1 spot on CatchFree’s list of best web apps by voting for Webs! Simply go to www.catchfree.com/products/webs and click the “Show your support” link on the right-hand side of the page. This will pull up a pre-written Twitter message (“Sharing my love for Webs…”). All you have to do is hit Finish!
Interesting side note: CatchFree.com is competing in a “start-up launch competition” hosted by the prestigious TechCrunch organization. The competition is taking place at TechCrunch’s third annual conference, “TechCrunch Disrupt,” and the winning company will take home $50,000.
We here at Webs are rooting for CatchFree to win the Disrupt Battlefield competition…and are rooting for ourselves to become the site-building solution deemed the most useful and safe on CatchFree.com.

I just tweeted my vote. Hope Webs makes it to the top!
