Example Site Wednesday: Cube Depot + 1 more!

Not to toot our own horns, but here at Webs, we like to fancy ourselves as pretty smart people,  how else could we get such intelligent and savvy users like you?

Today’s example site, however, made us second guess ourselves. Cube Depot is a website that sells every kind of Rubik’s cube you can think of, not just cubes either. Seriously, there are Rubik’s cube versions of any shape you can think of and even shapes that we have never thought existed. Needless to say, our first time going through the site was filled with a lot of “How the heck’s” and “I don’t even know’s”. These make perfect gifts for anybody because just playing around with one is mesmerizing. Check it out for yourselves.

Lucky for us, Cube Depot’s website isn’t nearly as difficult to maneuver. In fact, it’s one of the simplest layouts and designs we have seen. Solving the puzzles from the site may be hard, but getting one is really simple because of their use of our Web Store App which easily organizes and displays your products. Here are some other useful Webs features they use:

Forums – It’s a great idea to have a place for the community to hold discussions, making your site the place to be.
–  Videos are a great way to show off your products if the idea or concept is hard to put into words. In all honesty, we have no idea how you rotate some of these.
Blogs are a great way to keep your visitors and members updated with the latest you have to offer. Make sure you update often!

Cube Depot is another solid website; nothing too flashy, but a lot of rich content and smart organization. Kudos to Cube Depot for such an awesome website!

Got the hang of your cube? If you want to take “cubing” to the next level, check out Speed Cube Shop. They sell different types of cubes as well as lubricants and timers so you can test your abilities like pros.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s example sites. The holidays are right around the corner, so stay tuned for even more gift giving ideas next week! If you want to be considered for an example site, leave a comment below!

Okay, there are some really crazy designs there…I like the nice, easy layout and simple navigation!
Also, I know I don’t think there would be any way my site would be an example site, but I cannot stress how much I think http://www.thefuries.webs.com/ should be an example site. Lots of content, regular and interesting articles, nice, clean design and an Amazon Store for extra content the Cafepress Store couldn’t provide!

I think my website has a nice clear layout, attractive design, not flashy, easy to browse, and lots of exciting features here and there. Just ideal for a Webs example site.

I believe my website has the potential to be an example site.

This website was made in a high school class called HTML. EVERYTHING was done in HTML Code and even the teacher was impressed with the user friendly format. it is a MVHS Dances Online website

*Disclamer: The “Buy Tickets” button does not work because the class was not told how to make it work.

Awesome that webs does this kind of promotion for websites and for others users to learn from. I Think that my website would be a nice example. Its professional, easy in use, got alot of features and maybe the biggest reason of all: All I do is for the love of music! :)

Thats right. I’m a Dj. Together with a mate I mix music episodes for our own official podcast that we bring out in Itunes. My website is based on music and to spread it around. All there is totally free and easy in use. Music, Music video’s, pictures from al kinda Dj’s, random music wallpapers (HQ) and lots of more. It would be awesome if I get more people around. It motivates me to get bigger and bigger. Its like my payment in the form of people that I can make happy. Its all for free. All for the love of music.

Please feature our site. It’s a place for creative and unique people to get together, make new friends, and share their work with the world! The four creators of the site have posted their own content for our visitor’s entertainment. We do weekly segments in our blogs and random segments in our forums. Webs, if you could feature us next week and get people to join our site, we’d forever be in your debt.
