One of the best aspects of The Final Touch is that they have a great flow.
What is flow you ask?
Flow is the way a website is set up to seamlessly guide a visitor through the available pages. When you go to the home page of ‘The Final Touch’, the first thing you see is a blurb about the store and a couple of attention grabbing pictures. The next thing on any visitors mind is, “Ooh, I wonder what kind of products they sell”. Anticipating this thought process is the key to any successful website flow.
If a link to the online store is too hard to find, visitor may lose interest and move away somewhere else. ‘The Final Touch’ has solved this issue by providing a huge link leading to their online store right after the attention grabbing images, encouraging visitors to continue browsing. Our only suggestion to the site owner is to also think about making the images clickable just in case someone perceives them as big buttons.
What can you do to improve you site flow?
To improve your site flow, think about how visitors will react to certain parts of your site and what they want or are expecting. Make it easy for them to take the next step on your site by adding guiding links. Don’t underestimate the importance of having a site flow. The more effort you put into the layout of your website, the better results you will have.
That’s it for this week’s example site. We will be back next week with another great place to shop for Christmas gifts and another great website! If you want to be considered for a future Example Site Wednesday, leave a comment below!
