Today, I would like to share with you a visual guide on search engine optimization (SEO) from Infographic Labs. This guide does a great job of breaking down complexities behind a very important part of building and growing a successful website – understanding SEO.
So let’s go over a few basics:
1. What is SEO? This is a process that makes your site more likely to show up higher in search engines like Google® and Yahoo!®. This in turn can drastically increase the number of people who visit your site.
2. Why is SEO important? If done well, SEO can increase both the volume and quality of the visitors to your site. For a business, relevant traffic means more qualified leads that can turn into customers… generating more money for you.
In 2008 “68% of search engine users click results on the first page of search results” and that number is likely to keep rising (iPorsect, 2008).
