using the favicon works fine.my question is how do u when u link my site to facebook for example can i have the favicon as icon next to site.my uncle has his favicon next to his site when he links stuff from site to facebook.how can i do that

I have already done this and I would recommend http://favicon.cc/ so when you create it, the dimensions don’t need to be changed.

I followed all the directions, and the favicon.ico file appears in my File Manager, but the favicon is not working. I made the favicon about three days ago (not working), so I remade it on a different site and uploaded it yesterday (still not working).

This is great- I was getting sick of a blank white page in my browser.

It works beautifully with Google Chrome, but with IE it still shows their logo. (I still have to use IE to edit my sites, so I can resize/reposition images, copy and paste- these don’t work if I use Google Chrome!).

I uploaded a favicon.ico file with ‘k’ icon very months ago
The favicon showed up on all browsers
But after few weeks say 5 or 6
The favicon automatically changed to some other icon showing ‘s’
Plz tell me how to change it
bcoz i not uploaded any ‘s’ in my files
then why its showing wrong
