Custom Meta Tags for Individual Pages are HERE!

A widely requested feature has been added to our product offering today. You can now set custom meta and title tags for each individual page on your website! This is an important feature for Search Engine Optimization purposes and is available for Premium Customers Only.

Not Premium? Upgrade Now.

What are Meta Tags?

Meta Tag information is not visible to your website visitors.  Instead, it is placed into your website code to help define what is on your page. Information placed within Meta Tag section helps describe your website content to search engines and helps with your search engine ranking. Adding individual Meta Tags will help your site to show up higher on Google, Yahoo and other popular search engines.

Two elements make up Meta Tags:

  • Meta Description Tag – Brief and concise summary of what is contained on the individual page. Should be 25 words or less.
  • Meta Keywords Tag – List of relevant/important keywords that describe information on the page

How to add new Meta Tags?

1. Go to Site Manager page

2. Click on the Settings icon of the page you wish to edit

3. Edit Page Description and Keyword information, Save and Done!

Since apps automatically modify their titles to match the content in the apps, this feature is targeted at regular pages, which you can now tailor to capture the search terms that are valuable for your website, small biz, or org.

Enjoy!

    its just common sense you want to give every page a different meta tag…
    unless you dont know html or something :P (i mean, i know the basics, but not that good at it to make a professional looking site so i just use webs, but meta tags were some of the first things i learned about)

    Ahoy Webs,

    This is a great update!!

    However, you mention Apps generate their own titles and tags. I just ran Hubspots Website grader and for my blog it shows this code as the title:

    {DESCRIPTION}

    That’s it. ~ {DESCRIPTION}

    Something you might want to look in to.

    Thanks for the updates, this meta tag update and the drop-down menu update are SUPER!

    You did not say in your post that this is only for premium users. This is not fair and can be considered false advertising as you did not specify the details. I recommend you change this or a complaint will be made.

    I just have a couple of questions about premium and exactly what that includes. Like, I can read and I know what you’re offering but, can you please tell me in dummy talk how much 25MB of storage really is giving me for this site. (I’m looking at the pro package). The site I’m setting up with you is going to be more of a social networking site for our organization and I want to make sure that your hosting and pro packages fit the bill. The features it offers certainly do. I just need to make sure the capacity I’m needing can be found here with you. Thank you for your time to answer my question. You can reach me via email to reply or I will simply check back here. Brightest Blessings to you all!! Oh! And thank you for a really cool free site!

      @Rebecca: Pro Package offers 5,000 MB of Web Storage and 100 GB of Bandwidth. This is a lot of web storage and will approximately fit over 1,000 8 megapixel photos (photos that have high amount of detail).

    Hi,

    Meta description and meta keywords do not improve your google ranking. This is very common SEO knowledge now, I am wondering why you position this as helping to increase traffic to users sites?

    Back in the days keyword stuffing in the keyords meta tag used to work but not anymore.

    The key way to get better search ranking is having relevant title tag, relevant content and most importantly back links to your site from others. There are other technniques too but these is what I would concentrate on first.
